This instructional video will provide you with directions and features for using Teams.

hello and welcome to the second instructional video training number to Apollo Ridge School District it's raining we will focus on teams Microsoft Office themes of the messaging and classroom I think she will be able to access messaging and communicating with various members in teams School District by the work space that includes classroom assignments collaboration among peers include students and staff messaging file sharing and application sharing allow you to collaborate and altering documentation completing assignments and also having to meetings so that students dissipate and meeting with teachers and also students can collaborate with each other in their classrooms for one-on-one and also provides file sharing and using the various apps that are available for teens available on any device window systems Apple systems smart devices add iPhone Android tablet you can download the app for each of those devices you can access it through in Microsoft Office free 55 sweet as described in instructional video number one let's go ahead and take a look at teams now let's open up team open up to you on your desktop you may have a shortcut button shortcut button in Microsoft teams start button in the lower left hand corner if you click on it it won't open up your start menu I just start menu you Macy alive icon or you may see the static icon as displayed here again this will be purple with the letter t when teams opens up the students will see all of their classes on their main menu for teams in this example the student has six classes your classes a different let's take a look at one of the classes I'm going to pick Microsoft Office for rotation 1 and 7 which Meats 388 you will notice that the team has channels in the channels you will see the team name it is for rotation 1 + 7 and it meets Tori. 8 it has four channels the general channel will be where your teacher will be posting all the information about the class that is not necessary specific to assignment in general to the class most teachers have set up a channel just for their Zoom meetings or you will see the link and the time for their Zoom meetings you can accept the zoom meeting and also see the link and click on the link to join the meeting each day each week you will see Week 1. getting date range and the ending date range for each assignment set of assignments in a separate Channel and it's example you will see the agendas Mr has posted for September 8th you can click on the Seymour to see that for the first day of school agenda and expectations are he will also see the assignments posted to this week and then you will see the additional agendas for the week so you can login for each day and see the ad each teacher's may look a little bit different however you always see we won we 2345 as each teacher release this each week at the top of teams in the protab you will see post files or any files that are being shared within the class will be seen for example in this class you will see the team's expectations which have been posted General tab if you click on the file it will pop up so that you can read it after you have read it you can hit the close tab and it will return you back to the file you off to see folders to separate and keep information organized in the files folder at the top you also see class notebook notebook is a digital online notebook the teachers can set up for your class this will be a separate notebook for each class should the teacher decide to use it and I will be posting a separate video on how to use class notebook assignment this is a tide that you will use every day in class each day you are to look at the assignments I see what is being posted for example this one says September 8th attendance this is what you need to do every day in homeroom and it's possible that your classroom teacher may be asking you to do this as well the quiz or the answer the question to prove that you were in attendance you will click on it you can see here it says September 8th attendance and is due by September 8th at 11:59 p.m. says select answer the questions and submit the quiz to record your attendance so will click on the quiz it says hello you are to submit the form after you answer the hey sis what day of the week is today today is September 8th so we will click on Tuesday September 8th hit submit and you have recorded your attendance close and you can stay after you close it you get a confirmation that you have completed that assignment that you will go back and now we'll see the under assigned that a sign has disappeared but it has a completely disappeared it is under completed and you can see that has been checked off you can also for example maybe have a quiz that has information needs to have you completed answer in a long-form what did you do this Summer that you will remember for a long time example what to say I went to the beach with my family and we experienced best boat ride ever the reason it was so good as we saw dolphins and hit submit you can read your results if you want go back to the thank you page and hit clothes and you get the successful submission again go to back all right will be to next one I want to show you sign syllabus this is where you will be able to access your solace in this case and it needs a signature by you and your parents okay it's asking you to turn in that page so you going to click on the signature page after you read it you'll see here that cannot be edited and what would you do well I see you can't find it here you can download it pick the option to download it are you going to your download folder you can see it's downloaded are my downloads folder I want to make sure I open it up and Acrobat Reader go to my downloads find the file all right and you'll see that you'll get a prompt that says looks like this is a and you want to pick the sign and fill so you're in type your name James Brown parent signature misses James H Brown II Type in the date mine is due by September 11th of this year and students you need to sign it as well and it's asking for phone numbers put in a phone number put in a backup for an emergency contact phone number and again these are probably invalid phone numbers and then it wants to your email address for the parents so how we can contact them that might be James Brown @gmail all right so now we want to make sure we save this talk to you need to save it to save it to your OneDrive you are going to do file Davis and your want to make sure that you're going to send it to the right location to choose different location and you're going to want to pick your OneDrive you're going to want to make sure that you go to apollo-ridge OneDrive and your 2021 score border in this case is closed design and modeling still going to save it to design and modeling it's saved that way we can find it easily in this point you can quit your Adobe Acrobat Reader when we go back into team we are ready to add work and submit this so we'll go to turn in let me show you that one more time we're going to go down here underneath where the files were listed sick at work I want to go to the 2021 school year modeling to the files aren't here yet which is no problem cuz it may be just hasn't updated yet on my server so are you at work what do you upload from this device and we're going to go to OneDrive open my OneDrive and pick the 2021 school year folder to buy a modeling and the syllabus call stay open uploading at this point it done and then after you see the power has been how did your quick turn in that when you turn it in I will be able to see your files what is grated I will post comments to say that is received and you will see continue with the rest of your assignments to all of them are done for the day or for the week you can see that you have completed the three in the situation let's talk about other features of cheese we have chat this is where you can send messages to other people for example you can send a message to mr. Barta or you can send a message to wife your classmates it's recommended that whenever you want to send a message for example if you wanted to send a message to miss all he would say hello stop can you review how to submit assignments again for me please don't type in just that you have question be as specific as you can you just say I have a question then your teachers going to say well what is your question it eliminate that process and just ask your question right up front another place you can see a sign if any assignment tab this will show you all of your classes and all of your assignments for each of the classes for example the student has six classes and you can see all the assignments and it would just show the assignments without assignment tab for each team's calendar did you can post your events and your meeting and then there's a files tab that you can see all the different files that are being created for your classes or by yourself activity table with the top is showing everything that is occurring within your teams and when messages are getting posted when classmates are posting messages when your teachers are posting messages anytime you see a red mark rather be a number 1 2 3 mean you have two three four messages or the at the time that there's something going on within your team for example robotics to the high school class has a message make sure that you're checking all of those message there was an update for week 2 within the robotics team make sure you're reading all those messages that is a review of peace is available on the district website and YouTube videos
