hello and welcome to Third how to instructional video training for Colorado School District a video of number 3 we will be going over how to access and use one. OneDrive is a Microsoft cloud service application Microsoft cloud service allows you to access all files anywhere in the world as long as you can log into your Office 365 account you can store files protect your files and share your phone call in one place is going to be when your logging in you need to make sure that you are logged in with your specific and personal apollo-ridge School District OneDrive account as your email address if you logged in when you access Office 365 online for any other applications you cannot use your personal Google account or other email address it must be your school email address otherwise you will not be able to probably share files for collaborate with other members of the school district including your prayers class for teachers you can sink your files with your computer weather be a window system on Microsoft Office system and HP system a macaroon it does not matter one drive is compatible with all devices weather Beach Road the app or through a browser OneDrive you're able to cooperate and collaborate files with others as well as making sure that you are saving your house in a safe and secure way let's go ahead and just one drive now okay now we are going to go ahead and access our Office 365 account and create an organized folder system within one drive using the online version of Office 365 I am going to log in to my account you can see that brings up all the shortcuts with everything at Aldi Microsoft Office applications along the left hand side 9 blocks ellipses or the lodge menu is in the upper left-hand Corner if you click on it you will see all the options as well in this situation we are looking at drive and we want to go to OneDrive and click on it and here we see all my file systems with all my different organize folders let's go to new cuz I want to create a new folder I want to organize my entire 2021 20 school year create a new folder I went up to new cuts on the drop-down I'll do that one more time new like on the drop-down arrow click on folder cuz I want to create a new folder for the new school year the new school year is 2020 2021 and we're going to call at school year we're going to create this new folder you can see that it created the new folder right here and that will click on it to open it is currently empty what we want to do now is create several different folders for each of our classes so that has more working through our classes this year we are going to save the files for example if you're creating a word file reading class because you're writing a paragraph or paper you'd want to stay within your reading class folder so let's go ahead and create some more folders create a folder reading I will create one for each one of our subjects and you can use the title of your classes or you can use the subject whatever you're going you know how to organize it was so where to do reading math social studies science and each one can be created class and then you also have some of your classes for example Miss dolls class will have design and modeling and modeling robotics class will need a robotics folder sixth grade you need to have a Microsoft Office folder 7th grade addition to robotics you need to have a c Sims folder 8th grade you also need to have app creators check with your other related arts teachers you may need one for art you may need one for career development and since we're online for virtual you're probably need one for PE I want to create one for each class as you go through and now we've created a folder don't take for example robotics class you may need to share folder how do you share a folder so that your teacher is the everything within that folder you noticed down here that I have highlighted folder and if you go across the arrows there and it says share the selected item with other people if you click on that go ask who do you want to share with in this place I'm going to share it with Miss doll click on this tile and hit send and now it's going to share that folder with Miss doll and the lake is now sent and that's how you would share let's create a new or document now and show you how you will save your folders go to word free to blank document it'll open up you want to do file and you're going to do save as and you're going to say okay where do I want to save it as you going to save it as a copy online I say where do you want to save it we're going to say this is going to be robotics research for example and you're going to say save it to another folder it's saying okay where do you want to save it what folder for an app 2020-21 school year and then we're going to find robotics and hit save so now we can say this is for Alex research and you would type the rest of your paper you can see up top it automatically said it was saving and when you're finished it will autosave but if we go back into our OneDrive folder and look at our 2021 school year done you will see that the file is there using these procedures to keep yourself organized for help you always know where your files are if you any questions please feel free to text me through teams or email me let's take a look at using OneDrive on a Microsoft Windows desktop and using the icons and the applications I'm your start window select OneDrive make sure you are signed into your school account again remember this is your first five letters of your last name middle initial you're going to graduate at Apollo ridge.com your passcode is your first name and your lunch code first time you're lucky and you'll get information about setting up your folder for the first time it's letting you know that it's going to create the folder as your username And1 Drive Apollo Ridge touchy this going to be backing up all of your folders for you and your files if you get a message files cannot be backed up you can research those problems for now we're going to skip that getting to know OneDrive so you know you can share your folders letting you know that your folders and your files are trailerable online-only on this device and they're always available you can also get the mobile app for getting the mobile app you'll be able to access it on your smartphone or tablet no we can open up your OneDrive okay so in this case we have our students set up and we're looking at our one drive and we're going to create a folder or at the new school year to do this we're going to right click can we get a drop-down bar the drop-down bar we're going to pick new and we're going to go up to folder Andrew title this folder 2020 2021 school year who knows we already have one 2019-2020 school year but it's time to move on to the new school year we double click on that folder now I can create folders for each one of our classes for example we can go right click again like new older and do one for reading and you'll keep falling the stain procedure to create a folder for every one of your classes so for example we are free dating math science prosthetic including your related arts classes for example design remodeling you could do art physical education is going to have one for every class especially since this year we are virtual you may be creating folders for everyone sixth grade needs one for Microsoft Office seventh grade will need one for seventh grade needs one for csm's let's go to rename it quick right there I right click to bring up the drop-down bar and I'm going to pick rename we're going to call it systems does easy if you make a mistake to correct it eighth grade also needs app creators you may need one for the high school you could use consumer science algebra whatever you may need you just keep creating one for every class that you have like I might have missed science and you keep creating one for each class the nice part about the no is it all of your folders if we go back and look at our file directory you can see that we have our folders organized from last year and we have a new folder for the 2021 school year we double click on it and there's folders for all of our other classes and if we look at OneDrive we can see on our shortcut bar on the left hand side the files are also organized and we click on the drop-down bar and you will see each one as mentioned in the earlier part of this video he would just now save all of your files Weatherby word excel PowerPoint tinkercad whatever application you were using for each class you will see in those files additional support is available on the district website teacher websites and YouTube videos thank you
