Student Attendance on Flexible Instruction Days

Both daily and period by period attendance on Flexible Instruction Days will be taken online just like on normal, in-person days.  For students to get credit for attending that day, they must log-on to every class (this includes Homeroom/1st Period through 8th Period) and attend/participate in their class's virtual lessons.  Failure to log on and attend these virtual lessons will cause the student to be marked absent.

For students that have technical difficulties or don't have access to high speed internet, their attendance will be taken when their assignments are turned in immediately the next school day following the Flexible Instruction Day.  Students that are marked absent on Flexible Instruction Days will still need to turn in an acceptable excuse or run the risk of having that days absence be counted as unlawful or unexcused.  Teachers will record their daily and period by period attendance using our online gradebook (Sapphire) on Flexible Instruction Day just as they do on regular, in-person school days.
