IUP STEAMSHOP for Students

IUP is hosting a summer camp in robotics and technology for students who are completing grades 8 to 11 from June 17 to 21 -- I'm hoping you can share the attached flyer with interested students/parents/colleagues or post on social media.  We still have several open seats. There is a $75 fee to cover materials (with some scholarships available for those if the fee is a barrier to attending).  Students get to take home their mobile robot!

This camp, coordinated by me and presented by IUP faculty, offers regional students the opportunity to use IUP STEAMSHOP to design and build their own simple mobile robot. It also offers hands-on activities with drones and the opportunity to experiment with collecting safety and ergonomic data using exoskeletons. Students do not need any background or experience using the equipment or computer programming.

The camp uses equipment financed through the Southwestern Pennsylvania New Economy Collaborative-Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant.

More information about this summer camp experience and the sign-up page are available at https://tinyurl.com/iupsteamcamp24, or by contacting me at [email protected].
