Recently, the Middle School had five (5) students and two staff members test positive for COVID-19. In consultation with the Department of Health, they determined that the entire Middle School will need to close Thursday, February 11, 2021 AND Friday, February 12, 2021.
ALL Middle School Students should attend school 2/11/21 and 2/12/21 virtually/remotely on those days. If they log into their homeroom, check in, and complete all of their assignments for ALL of their classes, they will not be marked absent. It is also important to remember that every teacher will have LIVE ZOOMS all day Thursday and Friday during this brief COVID-19 closure. Please encourage your child to attend these sessions.
The Middle School completed contact tracing for all of these cases and will or already contacted those parents and students that will be placed under quarantine.
As a reminder, please be sure to check your child for COVID-19 symptoms. If they have any symptoms, please keep them home. Please be sure to have your child wear their masks when they need to, socially distance themselves from others when possible, and wash their hands regularly (as well as practice appropriate everyday hygiene practices).
