An inside look at cancer

-Students will be reading a short text that depicts the reasons why mitosis can go out of control and end up causing different types of cancer. Students will read about the division process of cancerous cells and the tumor suppressing genes that are damaged in cancer cells.
-Students will answer reading comprehension questions independently in class and then construct a graph that depicts the cancer rate of various types of cancer.


HOMEWORK:
TUESDAY EVENING - All cancer cell packets not finished in class should be done at home tonight and ready to turn in at the beginning of class tomorrow!
