Read 180- Grade 6 


Monday - Students will begin reading a nonfiction text about the causes of droughts. Homework was distributed and due Thursday. 

Tuesday - Students will finish reading the nonfiction text about the effects of droughts. 

Wednesday- To continue working on cause and effects and to review folktales from last week, Students will read the myth of Achilles and work on identifying transition words that point to cause and effect relationships. Then, they will work on filling in a cause and effect flow chart. Homework is due tomorrow. 

Thursday- We will wrap up our myth and review our work from Achilles. Homework is due today. 

Friday - No school! 
 
Read 180 - 7th and 8th Grade

Monday- Students will work on a review of subject- verb agreement. This will be included on their unit test next week. 

Tuesday - Thursday - After learning about press releases and the career of a publicist, students will create a press release to advertise for their favorite book. This will go in for a project grade in Reading class. 

Friday- No school

Reading 7:

Monday - Students will learn new vocabulary words to help them understand their story this month, "The Most Dangerous Game." 

Tuesday - Those that need to finish benchmark testing will get an opportunity to do so. Also, students will review their quizzes from last week by going back and finding the correct answer from the story. Students will be able to resubmit their quizzes for a higher grade. 

Wednesday - We will conduct our first read through of our story today. When completed, we will preview our TDA and if time permits, begin our second read. 

Thursday - we will finish our second read through of our story today working on completing a comprehension packet and an organizer for our TDA. 

Friday- No school.
