1st: Students will take notes about the microscope on their doodle notes; these should be used as a study guide. Their quiz on microscopes is tomorrow! Once the students have completed their notes, they will be given the last 10 minutes to print the pictures they need for their endangered animal assignment.

3,4,8: Students will be taking their microscope quiz the first half of class. Once all tests are turned in, the students will receive their Case File for their Mascot Mystery case. This file will hold all necessary information for the students to complete the Whodunit lab. The students will be investigating a crime that was committed; their job is to observe and "investigate" 6 different powders. Once they are familiar with those powders, they will then take a sample for evidence from our Mascot; they have to use their knowledge from the lab to correctly identify the powder that was left on the Mascot. This lab is great way for students to become familiar with how to use the microscope properly in lab.


HOMEWORK: 1ST: Finish your labeling exercise and study for your microscope quiz tomorrow.
Everyone needs to be working on the endangered animal writing - due 10-16!
