Apollo-Ridge Middle School Anti-Bullying Policy

The Apollo-Ridge Middle School is committed to providing all students with a safe and civil educational environment, free from threat, harassment, or bullying.

Bullying is defined as an intentional ELECTRONIC, WRITTEN, VERBAL, or PHYSICAL act, or a series of acts directed at another student or students; which occurs in or relates to a school setting; that is severe, persistent or ongoing; and has the effect of doing any of the following:

• Substantially interfering with a student's education
• Creating a threatening environment
• Substantially disrupting the orderly operation of the school

It is a violation for any student to engage in the bullying of another student in the school setting.  Students in violation of the bullying policy will be subject to CONFIDENTIAL disciplinary action.
