Behaviors for S.A.P. Referral

  •       Changing friends; no longer spends time with old friends
  •       Unexplained physical injuries
  •       Talking about suicide
  •       Depressed
  •       Defying authority, both at home and at school
  •       Acting aggressively
  •       Lying
  •       Needing money without an explanation
  •       Sudden drop in grades
  •       Use of alcohol or other drugs
  •       Academic decline
  •       Disciplinary problems
  •       Frequent visits to the Nurse and/or Guidance Office
  •       Decreased attention span
  •       Overheard conversations about alcohol/drugs or parties where drugs/alcohol were present
  •       A student expressing concern or fear about a fellow student's use of mood altering substances
  •       Smell similar to marijuana or alcohol on a student or their belongings
  •       Observing a significant weight loss or weight gain
  •       Observing frequent trips to the restroom
  •       Withdrawing from family, friends and/or school
